My Honest BOA. Review
Background
Launching in December 2020 (lockdown breakout shop), Youtuber and influencer Alice Olivia Cross dropped the brand with ten staple pieces. Her outlook was to create staples that would last and could be paired differently, and she succeeded. Alice wanted to bring a collection that lends itself to sustainability. Rather than capturing the “now” trend, she encourages a more wearable take, timeless classics. Consider BOA your more niche Zara, with a bit more oomph and a slightly higher price point, but still in the affordable range.
What I Like About It
Basics and staples - this is your stop—elegant satins to basic t’s and tanks made with quality that will last. BOA caught my attention with their take on the wide-leg faux leather trouser - the shipping was seamless, and the quality I was obsessed with. It is still one of my fav winter staples. BOA is based out of the UK, so shipping is a little pricey, but you can still get your order in 1-2 business days for $45.00, 3-4 for $25.00, and shipping is free (no time frames available) for orders over $100.00. Thirty-day returns, with no sign of wear - and the swing tag must be in place, no exchanges of items, also you are responsible for return shipping fees (not our favorite). We are a big fan of the checkout, express offered via Paypal or apple pay, and all major credit cards and Klarna are offered. As a side note, be mindful of sizing notes on each piece, as some give more with certain fabrics, and some are more tailored - Just a heads up.
